Say hello to the Desi Chickpea. Also known as kala chana (literally, black chickpea) or Bengal gram, this variety is grown mainly in India as well as Ethiopia, Iran & Mexico. 

This batch of kala chana is non GMO, and regeneratively grown by our farm partners Derek & Tannis Axten of Axten Farms in Minton, SK (Regeneratively grown = better for our planet.) 

Great source of protein, fiber, iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium.
